Skink Tail Blue Has Come to Bloomington!

Pygmalion’s Art Supplies announces a new custom color for Bloomington Artists!

Pygmalion’s Art Supplies and Gamblin Artist Colors have joined together again to create a new oil color for  Bloomington artists, and to raise money for the Visiting Artist Lecture Fund at Indiana University. Skink Tail Blue is the new color. It was created by Caleb Weintraub, a local artist and painting professor at IU who has shown nationally.

Skink Tail Blue is beautiful medium blue in the cerulean blue family of colors. This color is a wonderful addition to any palette and it is also a great mixing color.

Skink Tail Blue sells for $8.95 per tube. 100% of each sale goes to the Visiting Artist Lecture Fund at Indiana University. The lecture series invites artists in all mediums to lecture at the university, visit with students and give workshops and demonstrations. The lectures and workshops are open the general public and are free of charge.

In addition Pygmalion’s will host a one night show on April 13th of art created with the new color. Over $800.00 in cash or merchandise prizes will be awarded. Everyone is encouraged to use Skink Tail Blue in a work of art they create and show at Pygmalion’s on April 13th.

John Wilson, owner of Pygmalion’s, says: “Get creative! This color can be used in many ways to create a wonderful work of art. Besides painting use Skink Tail Blue in drawing, printmaking, collage or sculpture.  This is a great way participate in a special Art Exhibit and  help raise money for a worthy cause.”
